Windrose Quests and Progression Guide

A current-aware guide to quest-log orientation and progression planning while Windrose remains in Early Access.

How quests fit Early Access progression

The official Steam framing presents Windrose as an Early Access PvE survival adventure built around exploration, gathering, crafting and progression. Quests should therefore be treated as directions through the current build, not as a permanent checklist: the available objectives and their connections may change as development continues.

Quest types at a high level

Main-story objectives provide the broad narrative direction. Side objectives offer optional activities around the current world. Faction objectives belong to a specific group and should be read alongside the current faction context. Treasure objectives point toward discovery and collection work. These labels explain the jobs of each category; they do not claim fixed counts, a universal order or guaranteed rewards.

A practical next-objective workflow

  1. Read the current quest log and identify the active objective.
  2. Confirm the marker, location and surrounding context in the current build.
  3. Gather or craft only what that objective presently requires.
  4. Return to the quest surface and confirm completion before starting another branch.
  5. After an update, recheck the objective because wording, locations and progression links can change.

Keep neighboring systems separate

Faction reputation belongs in the Windrose factions guide. Travel-point questions belong in the fast-travel guide. Encounter preparation belongs in the bosses guide, while shared play belongs in the solo-vs-co-op guide.

What this page does not freeze

Do not rely on this page for a complete quest list, fixed order, exact gates, XP, rewards, permanent biome requirements or future-content promises. Those details require current-build evidence and may be invalidated by an Early Access update.
