Black Flag Resynced New Content Order: Missions and Unlocks

This checklist separates when added Black Flag Resynced content becomes available from when it is fully completed, so you can plan around the main story without treating every optional activity as mandatory.

Added-content order at a glance

Content surfaceAvailability framingHow to use it
Officer recruitmentRecruitment is tied to Great Inagua and the named officer questlines.Check whether a quest is available to start; do not assume that starting it means every related objective is complete.
Blackbeard contentThe added Blackbeard questline begins in Sequence 8.Use the sequence as a spoiler label and availability marker, not as a promise about the fastest completion path.
Stede Bonnet contentThe added Stede Bonnet content begins in Sequence 9.Keep it separate from the broader changes-from-original question and follow current in-game prompts.
Animus RiftsOptional Animus Rifts are surfaced separately from the main-story order.Fit them around your own spoiler tolerance; optional content does not automatically need to be cleared before story progression.
A World Without GoldUbisoft describes this added Blackbeard endgame chapter as unlocking at the start of the final sequence.Treat the final-sequence placement as the current documented availability signal and recheck it after patches.

Safe planning rule

Available to start is not fully complete

Quest prompts, officer recruitment and optional Rifts can be tracked as separate milestones. Avoid claiming that one “best order” is required when the source only establishes availability.

Recheck mutable placement

Sequence placement and prerequisites are current-system details. Before a future refresh, compare them with the latest official notes and in-game evidence.

Availability is not completion

This guide is about when new content becomes available in the current Black Flag Resynced documentation, not a complete walkthrough. Separate an activity that can be started from an activity that becomes sensible or complete later in the story. Official expansion material can describe added missions, Rifts, officers or an endgame chapter without fixing every player’s route. Use that distinction to avoid spoiling more than the decision requires.

For a spoiler-aware check, first finish the early campaign context that the current source identifies. Then verify whether the new-content entry is presented as available, recommended, or tied to a later chapter. Do not assume a fixed reward inventory, exact mission count, or permanent prerequisite from an older guide. If official wording changes, update the sequence note rather than expanding this page into a full mission list.

What to verify before starting

Check current platform and release material, then decide how much of the original story you want before using the new-content path. Keep changes from the original, difficulty, multiplayer, Animus Hub, Hideout and Kenway’s Fleet as separate guides. This guide stays focused on a high-level availability sequence and spoiler boundaries while the source note records when prerequisites, chapter placement, Rifts, officers or endgame wording need review.

Use the documented sequence gates carefully

Official Ubisoft material gives a useful progression shape without requiring a universal checklist. The additional Blackbeard story is framed for the final sequence, while officer missions become available as the campaign reaches the relevant Caribbean and Hideout context. The Blackbeard treasure quest is described from Sequence 8, and the Stede Bonnet mission from Sequence 9. Treat those as source-scoped orientation, not a promise that every player sees identical unlock text.

Plan in layers: continue the main sequence, check the Hideout and map when a source-described quest should become available, and read the current prompt before changing course. Optional Rifts and officer stories can be tracked separately from the main campaign. If an objective, prerequisite or reward is not visible in the current build, leave it unconfirmed.

This guide focuses on the broad order and unlock orientation. Changes from Original, Naval Gameplay, Difficulty, Multiplayer and Animus Hub answer different questions, so do not merge their mechanics into a single progression table. To understand the scope behind that order, read the Black Flag Resynced changes from the original guide.
