Black Flag Resynced Kenway's Fleet Guide

A practical guide to the Fleet system, captured-ship assignments and mission framing.

Quick-start workflow

  1. Capture: treat a disabled ship as a Fleet choice only when the current interface offers it.
  2. Inspect: compare the available ship class with the mission and confirm the vessel is docked and eligible.
  3. Decide: assign it when a suitable slot is available, repair the Jackdaw when it needs attention, or reduce pursuit when lowering Wanted Level is the immediate goal.
  4. Recheck: read the current mission screen and keep exact income, rewards, slots and composition subject to current-build verification.

How Kenway's Fleet works

Captured ships can be assigned to missions through Kenway's Fleet. Official material describes mission assignment, trade goods, passive income and occasional activity spawns.

Mission outcomes and rewards can change, so this guide makes no fixed income, optimal composition or best-ship claim.

Fleet choices after capture

In Resynced, a disabled ship can become a Fleet choice. Depending on the current ship situation, the interface may offer an empty Fleet slot, Jackdaw repair, a Wanted Level reduction, or a Captain Lockbox option for eligible larger ships. These options are build-sensitive.

Missions, slots and classes

Assign one docked ship to a mission when a suitable slot is available. Fleet slots increase with progression, and ship class affects suitability. An underpowered assignment can fail or destroy a ship, so inspect the current mission and ship context before confirming.

Forts and regions

Ubisoft launch material connects Fleet access with capturing a regions Fort. Treat this as documented feature framing and recheck it in the current build rather than relying on a permanent regional rule.

Practical decision framework

Use Fleet assignment when the captured ship is useful for the current mission, repair when the Jackdaw needs attention, and reduce pursuit when lowering Wanted Level is the immediate goal. This is a choice framework, not an optimal route.

FAQ and freshness

The companion app is not treated as a requirement for the integrated Resynced feature. Rewards are not presented as fixed, and no universal best ship exists. Exact income, mission rewards and composition require current verification.

Reading the current interface

Fleet information should be read as a current management screen rather than a static database. Before selecting a mission, compare the available ship class with the task description and confirm that the vessel is docked and eligible. If a result is uncertain, keep the ship available for another decision instead of treating an older guide as a guarantee.

The integrated feature is distinct from the original companion-app framing. Resynced presents Fleet as part of the game context, but exact slots, classes, rewards and mission behavior remain subject to the current implementation. For the broader naval context, read the broader naval gameplay guide.
