1. Browse context
Start with the timeline or recaps when the question is about story and lore.
The Animus Hub is a separate layer for browsing story context, tracking challenges and checking current projects or reward surfaces around Black Flag Resynced.
| Hub surface | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Timeline and recaps | Browse a timeline and story recaps when you need lore or narrative context rather than a gameplay objective. |
| Rifts | Alternate-memory scenarios provide a separate gameplay surface that can be considered alongside, rather than confused with, the main story. |
| Synchronization | Synchronization tracks challenges so progress can be read as a set of goals rather than as a single completion percentage. |
| Projects and Anomalies | Projects group challenges, while time-limited Anomalies may appear within that system. Recheck current availability before relying on a schedule. |
| Crossover Projects | Crossover Projects can span games, so keep their requirements and reward availability distinct from Black Flag-only progress. |
| Exchange and rewards | The Hub surfaces an Exchange and rewards layer; the current inventory, values and eligibility should be treated as mutable. |
Start with the timeline or recaps when the question is about story and lore.
Read Rifts, Synchronization and Projects as different challenge surfaces instead of one generic rewards list.
Review Anomalies, Crossover Projects and the Exchange in the current Hub before planning around their availability.
Reward eligibility and inventory can change; this guide intentionally does not assign fixed values or guaranteed crossover outcomes.

The Hub is the umbrella interface, but its surfaces answer different questions. Synchronization is the progress view for challenges. Projects group objectives that can be checked as a current task set. Anomalies are a separate scenario or availability surface and should not be assumed to follow a permanent schedule. Crossover Projects can connect activity across games, while Exchange is the place to inspect the current reward or item surface.
This separation matters because an entry appearing in the Hub does not automatically confirm its present eligibility, inventory or reward. Read the label shown in the current Hub, then follow the relevant objective. Keep story recaps and Rifts as context rather than mixing them into a generic completion percentage.
This workflow is intentionally cautious: it does not promise a fixed reward, timing, inventory or cross-game outcome. Recheck after Ubisoft changes the Hub, Projects, Anomalies, Rifts, Synchronization, Crossover Projects or Exchange. Multiplayer, new-content, difficulty and worth-playing pages remain separate guides.
